Jimmy Eugene Watson, 72, of Lakeland, Florida passed away November 24, 2016.



Jimmy was born and raised in Lakeland. He spent a short time living in Minnesota before settling back to Lakeland at a young age. Jimmy was a “plain old country boy” at heart. He worked various jobs to help support his family. He was a truck driver, baker at Einstein’s Bagel, Delivery Man for The Lakeland Ledger, Maintenance for Hooter’s Restaurant and Hotel, before retiring from Circle K as a Clerk. In his spare time, Jimmy was an avid hunter and fisherman....

Jimmy was born and raised in Lakeland. He spent a short time living in Minnesota before settling back to Lakeland at a young age. Jimmy was a “plain old country boy” at heart. He worked various jobs to help support his family. He was a truck driver, baker at Einstein’s Bagel, Delivery Man for The Lakeland Ledger, Maintenance for Hooter’s Restaurant and Hotel, before retiring from Circle K as a Clerk. In his spare time, Jimmy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He raised cows and birds. He enjoyed reading Stephen King novels. Those close to Jimmy will miss him for his sense of humor, always playing jokes on friends and family.



Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Watson; and son, David Fennell.



Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Wilma Watson nee Fair; son, Robert Fennell (Lori), of Port St. Lucie, Florida; daughter, Rebecca Thompson (David), of Polk City, Florida; brother, Butch Woodard (Lawanda), of Denver, Colorado; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
